Five mother seekers murdered between 2021 and 2022
Gladys Aranza Ramos28 years old, was murdered on July 15, 2021 at her home in Guaymas, Sonora.
Aranza Ramos was part of the search mothers after her husband, Bryan Omar Celaya, disappeared in December 2020. According to the authorities, three individuals were already arrested for his femicide.

Ana Luisa Garduño Juárez51 years old, who became an activist in 2012, after the disappearance and femicide of her 17-year-old daughter Ana Karen Huicochea, was murdered inside a bar in Temixco, Morelos on January 22, 2022.
Ana Karen, her daughter, was allegedly murdered by her boyfriend, who is still wanted by the authorities.
Rosario Lilian Rodríguez Barrera64 years old, member of the Corazones Sin Justicia” collective, from Sinaloa, who was looking for her son Fernando Abixahy Ramírez Rodríguez, who has disappeared since October 16, 2019, was deprived of liberty on August 30 and later murdered in the municipality from Elota, Sinaloa.
Blanca Esmeralda Gallardo, 45 years old, was murdered at dawn on October 4, 2022, in the city of Puebla, Puebla. For her femicide, Christopher ‘N’ and Ismael ‘N’ were arrested and linked to the process.
While her 22-year-old daughter Betzabé Alvarado has been missing since January 13, 2021, although there is already a person arrested for the crime of disappearance committed by individuals to the detriment of the young woman.
Added to these femicides is the case of Maria Carmela Vazquez46, mother seeker and member of the Pénjamo Missing Persons collective, who was looking for her son Osmar Zúñiga Vázquez, 21, who has disappeared since June 14, 2022.
She was murdered outside her home in the downtown area of Abasolo, Guanajuato, on November 8.
