The Government made official this Thursday the appointment of Daniel Scioli as Minister of Productive Developmenta position he assumed on Wednesday.
The appointment was formalized through decree 328/2022, while through decree 327/2022, also published this Thursday in the Official Gazette, his resignation as ambassador to Brazil was accepted.
His first activity as head of Productive Development will be this Thursday at the National Institute of Industrial Technology
On Wednesday, upon being put into office by President Alberto Fernández, the successor of Matías Kulfas thanked the head of state for the “trust placed” and stated that “He will honor the task with a high degree of responsibility, working tirelessly for a developed and inclusive Argentina.”
At a press conference, Scioli He also clarified that “there will be no stocks of any kind.”
He also pointed out that he came to that position “without any political speculation regarding what may happen in 2023”, referring to the next presidential elections.
“If it had been like that, I would have stayed in Brazil, where I had an important work agenda,” warned the new minister, and expressed that He arrived to “put his shoulder in difficult times” and “mobilized with conviction” that it can help “with a great team”, in “the synergy of the public and the private”.
His first activity as head of Productive Development will be this Thursday at the National Institute of Industrial Technology (INTI).
Scioli assumed his new role after serving as ambassador to Brazil since March 2020 and will be temporarily replaced by Pablo De Santis, the current Chargé d’Affaires.
