The Governors of the provinces of Córdoba, Juan Schiaretti, and Santa Fe, Omar Perotti, achieved this Wednesday granting of financing from the Sovereign Fund of Abu Dhabi for the construction of another section of the aqueduct that will carry water from the Paraná River to the Cordovan territory.

The negotiations took place within the framework of the tour that both leaders are carrying out Kuwait and United Arab Emirateswhich on this day had them meet with the director general of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi.

The amounts to be granted were not specified, nor were the terms and interest rates for the payment of the loans.

“This May 25, in which we celebrate the anniversary of our Homeland, here in Abu Dhabi, together with Governor Perotti, we presented the formal credit application for a section of the aqueduct from Paraná to San Francisco”Schiaretti said.

He stressed that “there was a favorable reaction” to the presentation, and assured that both provinces will “also have the financing to carry out such an important work.”

In this way, the interprovincial aqueduct already has financing for three of the eight blocks in which the work was divided.

The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Public Services of Córdoba, Fabián López, the Director of Operations of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development, Abdullah Al Hosni; and his peer for Latin America, Abdalla Al Mehraibi.

“From Córdoba we also present the provincial aqueduct project that the province is already executing, such as those in the North of La Rinconada and Traslasierra. The authorities of the Abu Dhabi Fund also informed us of the decision to finance them”, affirmed the Cordovan governor.

He stressed that “this means that Córdoba continues to obtain long-term financing at very cheap rates to continue bringing water to our province. And for us water is life”, he concluded.
