Today, the official of the Yacyretá Binational Entity, a photographer from Santi Peña, Fátima Saucedo, attended an investigative statement before the trial judge for improper collection of fees. In addition, the official was denounced in the prosecutor’s office for planillerism.
Only during 2022, the photographer of the Chartist pre-candidate Santiago Peña had 51 days of rest in the EBY, however, she attended different political acts. Doubtfully, a single doctor signed 11 medical certificates for sprains, bruises, low back pain and even for a supposed “blow.”
In communication with Dr. Pamela Aquino, she stated that she did not remember if she delivered any certificate to the official, on the other hand, Dr. Germano, who delivered 11 certificates, did not answer calls or messages.
Fátima Saucedo is already a repeat offender in the planillerismo case, taking into account that she had a summary in 2019 where she was found guilty and sanctions were imposed. The current summary began with publications of footage of the official where she was observed arriving and leaving the institution during working hours for several days, but the summary was expanded and it is not, as Oscar Tuma says, that it is only a matter of justifying 5 days of absences.
The most serious part of the case is that on many of the days when Fátima Saucedo presented medical certificates at the Yacyreta Binational Entity, she also appeared at Chartist political acts and social events.
On Sunday, February 20, 2022, Fátima Saucedo published that she was in the city of Pilar on a birthday, but on Monday the 21st, a working day, she presented a medical certificate with three days’ rest due to acute gastroenteritis. The certificate without letterhead was signed by Dr. Horacio González. After the 3 days of rest, on February 24, Fátima Saucedo returned to the “working day” and attended the political event for the day of the Paraguayan woman at the ANR premises with the presence of Nenecho Rodríguez, Alliana and several others leaders of the Honor Colorado movement.
On March 9, Fátima Saucedo presented a medical certificate for a sprain in her right foot, signed by Dr. Germano Gernhofer, with rest for three days, however, Fátima published photos while attending an event with Santi Peña for the celebration of the International Women’s Day.
On March 17, Fátima Saucedo presented this time a medical certificate for a sprained ankle, signed again by Dr. Germano Gernhofer with 2 days of rest, however, on Wednesday, March 16, Fátima published photos while she was on the court accompanying her equipment. Already on March 19, a day after rest, Saucedo published photos while accompanying Santi Peña and Derlis Maidana in the department of Misiones.
On April 29, Fátima Saucedo presented another medical certificate, this time for acute low back pain, signed again by Dr. Germano Gernhofer, but on April 30, Saucedo published photos while accompanying Santi Peña in acts in the department of Itapúa. Known tweeters also appear in the photos.
Fátima Saucedo would have also presented rest certificates between June 23 and 30, but on Saturday the 25th and Sunday the 26th, the official traveled to Canindeyú to make photographic coverage of Santi Peña. Fatima published several photos hugging politicians in the area.
After the video publications dated July 11, proof that supposedly the photographer of Santi Peña, Fátima Saucedo, would be a planner for EBY, the official requested by telephone a certificate of isolation since July 13 and until today she has not attend EBY.
Fátima Saucedo had also presented a defense with many inconsistencies. In addition, the official lied when she explained that between May 23 and 27 she requested permission and did not mark the entrance and exit, however, in the attendance sheet of her institution it appears that she did mark.
On the other hand, on Tuesday, May 5, Fátima Saucedo marked her entrance at 07:40 in the Mburicaó offices of the Yacyretá Binational Entity, but then went out to celebrate and greet Horacio Cartes for his birthday, later the official returned to the office and clocked out at 5:24 p.m.
It should be remembered that planillerism is a crime and is typified in article 313 of the Penal Code, specifying: “The public official who collects fees or other undue remuneration for his benefit, will be punished with imprisonment for up to five years…”
However Fátima Saucedo is being protected by politicians and Chartist adherents. Yesterday, Santiago Peña said in an interview that the alleged planner is his friend and that she is suffering an injustice.
In 2020, the Prosecutor’s Office had intervened and even arrested a taxi driver in deputies who charged G. 2,500,000, but the same does not happen with Fátima Saucedo due to her closeness to President Horacio Cartes, despite the fact that Santi Peña’s photographer charges G. 30,000,000 presumably without working.
