The president of Ecuador, William Lassoarrived in Buenos Aires this Sunday to make his first state visit to the country and was received by the Foreign Minister santiago cafiero at the Jorge Newbery airport, it was officially reported.
The plane that transported the Ecuadorian president landed around 5:00 p.m., it was indicated.
Prior to Lasso’s arrival, Cafiero said at the airport that “We are going to be developing a very important agenda tomorrow to strengthen the bilateral bond. The meeting that will take place in Casa Rosada with the president Alberto Fernandezand also with my colleague Juan Carlos Olguinwill have a broad agenda both in the economic, political and cultural aspects”.

Lasso’s agenda on his official visit
In his first activity, the Ecuadorian head of state, who will stay until tuesdaywill leave a floral offering at the monument to the Liberator General José de San Martín, in the square of the same name, located in the Retiro neighborhood, this Monday at 10:30, together with Cafiero
After the tribute, the foreign minister will accompany the Ecuadorian president to the Casa Rosada, where Lasso will meet with Fernández, to later offer a joint statement to the press.
The official Ecuadorian delegation that accompanies Lasso will hold bilateral meetings with the ministers of Productive Development, Matias Kulfasand Agriculture, Livestock and Fishing, Julian Dominguez.
The Ecuadorian delegation will be represented by the Minister of Production, Foreign Trade, Investments and Fisheries, Julio Jose Prado Lucio-Paredes.
In parallel, to analyze issues related to information and communication technologies (ICTs), the head of the National Communications Entity (Enacom), Claudio Ambrosiniand the Minister of Telecommunications and the Information Society of Ecuador, Vianna Maino.
On the other hand, Cafiero and his counterpart Holguín will sign an Agreement on Consular Matters between both Foreign Ministries. The two ministers will also hold a bilateral meeting starting at 2:30 p.m.
Finally, Lasso will visit the Secretariat of the Antarctic Treaty from 4:30 pm and, later, will lead a meeting with businessmen with interests in his country as part of the “Ecuador Open for Business” program.
