This Wednesday, January 25, the production minister, Sandra Belaunde, presented her resignation from the position. Her departure from her Cabinet occurs a month and a half after she was sworn in, on December 10.
The resigning official presented a letter with the reasons for her resignation. The President of the Council of Ministers, Alberto Otárola, has already accepted her and even thanked her for her services. This morning, Belaunde Arnillas did not arrive at the Government Palace for the ministerial cabinet council session that takes place on Wednesdays.

So far, the reasons for his resignation are unknown.
A few days ago, the holders of the Labor and Women’s portfolios, Eduardo García Birimisa and Grecia Rojas Ortiz resigned from their ministerial posts, respectively. Both left their posts in a context of protests in the south of the country against the government of Dina Boluarte. Previously, the Ministers of the Interior, Víctor Rojas, of Education, Patricia Correa, and of Culture, Jair Pérez, also stepped aside.
