San Lorenzo wants to regain prominence and starts against Banfield

Ricardo Centurión will be one of the starters against Banfield.

San Lorenzo, punished in recent years by bad campaigns and severe institutional chaos, will seek to rediscover sporting success in this Professional League Cupand led by coach Pedro Troglio will visit the always risky Banfield this Friday.

The match will be played at the Florencio Sola Stadium, in the south of Buenos Aires, at 9:30 p.m., televised by Fox Sports and with arbitration by Germán Delfino.

San Lorenzo needs to return to success and it doesn’t just happen by scoring one more goal than the rival or winning more games than the others: the Boedo club needs to once again promote credibility and be reliable for its fans.

The “Cyclone” did not qualify for any international cup in 2022 and the only goal is the League Cup, in addition to the Argentine Cup, with Troglio as coach, a top-level professional who changed the face of an environment full of faces dour and concerned, with his positive temperament and the good way of treating those he directs.

Troglio has Ricardo Centurión as his maximum reinforcement, who terminated with Vélez, and in San Lorenzo they trust that he can be the unbalancing value that takes the team to the top positions.

On the Banfield side, coach Diego Dabove has as reinforcements Darío Cvitanich (free from Racing), Enrique Bologna (free from River), Ian Escobar (loan from Talleres), Luciano Abecasis (free from San José -MLS-), Matías Romero (Argentines), Juan Andrada (on loan from Godoy Cruz), Alejandro Maciel (on loan from Talleres), Julián Palacios (on loan from San Lorenzo) and Maximiliano Cuadra (free from Unión La Calera de Chile).
