has a new ASSE polyclinic
The President of the Republic, Luis Lacalle Pou, participated in the inauguration of the polyclinic in Colonia Harriague, department of Salto. In his speech, he highlighted the chain of efforts, dreams and knocking on doors by the community. He highlighted the support of the State Health Services Administration (ASSE), the Salto Grande Mixed Technical Commission (CTM) and the mayor.
Lacalle Pou underlined the role played by the communities and how they make claims, referring to the people who lead when requesting and demanding from governments. In this sense, she affirmed that the authorities should not do what they want, but what the citizens need and entrust. She added that refusal cannot be the first response.
He also made reference to the fact that there is no small or big cause. “The causes are just or we do not understand the political activity,” he added.
For his part, the head of ASSE, Leonardo Cipriani, recalled that for 42 years the polyclinic had been located in a family home and that, through a loan of use, the institution built the polyclinic in that place, which consists of three modules for medical and dental services.
He stressed that, for those who work in health, these acts are moving, because it is in instances like this where true love for patients is appreciated, so that communities can live well and develop.
Also participating in the activity were the Secretary of the Presidency, Álvaro Delgado; the head of the INAU, Pablo Abdala; the president of the Salto Grande Mixed Technical Commission, Carlos Albisu; the mayor Andrés Lima; the director of the North Region of ASSE, Ivonne Bruno; officials, users and residents of the area.
