The Administrative Service of Identification, Migration and Immigration (Saime), has sent a total of 5,464 travel documents, from August 11 to date to Venezuelans living outside the country.

Saime asks users to go to the Venezuelan consulates in the world to pick up their passport or extension, which were sent through consular bags, to guarantee the identity of Venezuelans abroad.

One of the regions with the most demands for travel documents by Saime users is the Caribbean, with the issuance of a total of 3,081 procedures, which are waiting to be withdrawn by the holders.

It is followed by the European continent with the sending of 1,227 travel documents between extension stickers and passports, as well as for the Asian continent and Oceania, where Venezuelan residents are also considered and in this way the Saime makes them assert their right to identity, as a constitutional norm, reported the Ministry of People’s Power for Interior Relations, Justice and Peace, in a press release.
