Although he did not provide further details about what caused the incident that left thousands of visiting Venezuelan migrants stranded.
In the document, the state agency assured that it “managed to establish” a new technological platform to resume the service “free of foreign technological ties that have served to affect the Venezuelan people,” although it did not specify information about the new system, who its provider is or if there will be changes to the platform.
Likewise, Saime announced that people with pending appointments for the issuance of passports will receive, starting next week, an email with the rescheduling of their appointments.
The office also reported that “soon” passports issued in the national territory and those processed through consulates will be available for withdrawal.
