The National Secretary of Energy, Roselina Lindo, spoke about the Gatún Generator, which is a gas-fired generation project with an installed capacity of 270 megawatts. There will be greater security to deal with the El Niño phenomenon.
Lindo explained that with the Gatún Generator they will be reducing the CO2 content in the energy matrix and providing electricity for more than 20 years, in addition to guaranteeing the stabilization of the energy rate.
Lindo explained that they have planned the energy transition agenda from 2020 to 2030.
He indicated that with this long-term bidding project the National Secretariat of Energy seeks to reduce the price of energy by 12.8%.
