Blooming was left without a technical director. The Chilean Rodrigo Venegas decided to step aside. Rumors spread prior to the match against Tomayapo, and it became official at the end of the match.

Venegas submitted his irrevocable resignation, leaving the coaching staff of the Santa Cruz academy headless. In Blooming, the possible replacement is not yet known, but the urgency must force the ‘procedures’ to be rushed, since the next meeting of the Celestials is on Wednesday, August 10, against Palmaflor.

Rodrigo Venegas had been announced in November 2021. He directed three matches of that Blooming that fought not to fall in the indirect relegation match, obtaining two defeats, and a 1-0 victory against Real Potosí on the last date of the championship, saving himself from that instance.

The Chilean already knew the club (he had been Hernán Meske’s assistant before Rodrigo was announced as coach), and he continued at the academy in the 2022 campaign.

In the Opening Tournament he achieved completely unexpected results and performances, managing to win their group in the first phase (27 points and eight games won with three draws and five losses), and advancing to the semifinals against Bolívar.

In this Clausura, he won two matchestied three, and lost another three, with many fans against the coach, and a few others asking to give him a chance to turn around the ‘bad streak’.

In total, Venegas numbers are very neutral; 11 wins, six draws, and 11 losses.
