Roadside Assistance will work through mobile application

Comipol agents who provide assistance on the roads.

The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) announced yesterday that the Road Assistance program of that institution will work through a mobile application.

Deligne Ascención, head of the MOPC, stated that this is a tool that will make it easier for citizens to report any setback that happens to them while traveling through the country’s trunk roads.

The official said that this element was one of those that the Military and Police Commission (Comipol) needed to bring its road safety service to all people.

“It is an application that will allow the request for assistance or information on incidents on the roads through an application that has been developed by Comipol’s own technicians,” said Ascención.

He indicated that, in addition to this application, the telephone number 829-688-1000 will continue to be available, seven days a week and 24 hours a day.

For his part, the director of the Military and Police Commission, Brigadier General Rafael Vásquez Espínola, highlighted the effort to make the new technological service available to everyone, which he said has come to stay.

Likewise, Jacobo Mateo Jr., Comipol’s network manager, when explaining the details of this tool, anticipated that the reduction in handling time for calls for roadside assistance will be three minutes, with a tendency to be placed in two minutes. minutes.

Mateo explained that to use “MOPC Road Assistance”, it is only necessary to download the APP from any device, through Appstore or Googleplay, open it and then the user registers as new, with his identification number, telephone number, and You can immediately use it to report accidents and request roadside assistance.
