The deputies of National Renovation for the Antofagasta Region, Paulina Núñez and José Miguel Castro, met this Saturday with the Regional Prosecutor Alberto Ayala and gave him a copy of the complaint they presented against the government official detained with a drug shipment in that zone.
With this, the ruling parliamentarians made their announcement that they would initiate legal action against all those who are responsible in this case.
“We are not going to allow these wretches to infiltrate the State and politics. This is of the utmost seriousness and therefore, along with asking for their expulsion, we prepared this complaint and made ourselves available to the Prosecutor to pursue with all the rigor of the law to these true scourges that drugs bring to our populations, “said legislator Paulina Núñez.
The RN parliamentarian added that “this guy abused the faith and trust of his party and deceived those who decided to join the public administration, precisely in an area as sensitive as the Undersecretary of Crime Prevention.”
For his part, the deputy Castros sustained that “it is not fair that what thousands and thousands of people do through public service for a rotten apple is muddied.”
“This should be left alone in jail, in order to clean what today is a system that must ensure the safety of people,” added José Miguel Castro.
“In the face of organized crime, the maximum rigor of the law. Here those that are already formalized and those who may be involved will have to pay,” Núñez emphatically announced.
As stated in the document, the complaint that will be sponsored by the lawyer Eduardo Riquelme is against the WAPB official for the crimes of theft of documents and for the crime of revealing public secrets, provided for and sanctioned in articles 242 and 246 of the Code Criminal, respectively.

Thus, RN asks the Public Ministry to: “in its capacity as author according to article 15 No. 1 of the Penal Code, declare it admissible, (…), so that the prosecuting entity, after the respective investigation, formalizes the investigation and accuse the defendant, so that he is sentenced to the highest penalties that the law establishes for the crimes committed. “
After the appointment, the Regional Prosecutor of Antofagasta Alberto Ayala revealed that the parliamentarians, “upon learning about this crime in the early hours, called me to put themselves at the absolute disposal of the Prosecutor’s Office, expressing their interest in becoming plaintiffs in this case. “.
“They asked this regional prosecutor to initiate all actions in search of all those responsible until the last consequences, regardless of the quality of the people allegedly involved,” said the prosecutor chief.
