Back. Ricardo Belmont Cassinelli, former mayor of Lima and who was voiced —unsuccessfully— as advisor to President Pedro Castillo, will recover in the following weeks its channel RBC Television and RBC the station, currently Radio Tigre SAC, with commercial name PBO 91.9 FM. This, after a dispute of more than 6 years with his eldest sons: Ricardo ‘Ricky’ and Lucienne Belmont Vallarino.
According to a judicial file, issued by the Superior Court of Justice of South Lima last April 29, it was resolved declare inadmissible the claim of Ricardo Martín Belmont Vallarinowho was looking declare invalid the revocation of the inheritance advance granted by Ricardo Belmont Cassinelli in public records to their parents.

According to Morey, the fight over Ricardo Belmont’s two properties began after the former presidential candidate will deliver an inheritance advance of the shares of the RBC channel to his older children, who “behaved badly” by depriving the father of his channel and his radio, for which he was forced to revoke said advance payment.
“Faced with the improper behavior of the children, who evicted Richard Belmont, he was forced to revoke this advance. They behaved in an undignified manner, in such a way that the law says that whoever has given a property can render it null and void,” the lawyer explained to La República.
In this sense, Luis Morey mentioned that said RBC shares will not be “immediately delivered” to Ricardo Belmont since this will first convene a shareholders’ meeting with the aim of removing the current directors and appointing a new manager. “All this must be done in compliance with the law, it should be done in the next 2 months. Before July 28, both channel 11 and radio 91.9 FM must already be operated by Richard Belmont”, he added.

The lawyer announced that they will seek to speed up the process because the company Red Bicolor de Comunicaciones SAA (RBC TV SAA) is in Indecopi at risk of being liquidated “in the worst case” due to financial mismanagement of the sons of Ricardo Belmont.
“The financial management of the RBC channel is terrible, while PBO Radio and ‘Ricky’ Belmont (personally) are doing well. This configures a crime of fraudulent administration of a legal person. This occurs when a person takes advantage of a company for profit and the company ends up decapitalizing itself, “she said.
Ricardo Belmont will seek to recover radio license after MTC sanction
In January of this year, nine officials of the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC), a prosecutor and members of the National Police Radio PBO offices intervenedlocated in Chorrillos, to raid and seize their telecommunications equipment for having operated without authorization or license from the MTC.
In this regard, Ricardo Belmont’s lawyer clarified that said radio, owned by RBC Television, operated due to the negligence of his son, who lost his license. “There was a whole incident because the radio became a pirate by not renewing its authorization on time,” he added.

He clarified that the RBC channel functioned normally until Ricardo and Lucienne Belmont Vallarino took the station away from their father, taking it to Indecopi by creditors.
“The decision of Richard Belmont the thing is both RBC television and the radio station PBO return to occupy the spaces that correspond to them as a brand. Mr Philip Butters he will have to approach the legitimate owner if he wants to have a program on RBC radio,” he asserted.
It should be remembered that the search warrant against PBO Radio was approved by Judge Tony Solano Pérezof the Second Preparatory Investigation Court of Chorrillos, following a request made by the director of sanctions of the MTC, Georgi Carlo Ickovic Padilla.
“We are going to see the issue with the MTC because it was an irresponsible diligence of the son that has put at risk the permanence of the radio in the FM. They have used the lord Butter’s to be a squire for a station that is operating irregularly. Mr. Belmont has the law on his side, he is happy with the outcome released and confident that things will return to their natural state,” he stated.
