This Sunday, December 4, the Regional Elections 2022 in 9 regions of the country. In Piura, the candidates Reynaldo Hilbck (Regional Unit) and Luis Neyra (Contigo Region) aspire to lead the regional government.
In this scenario, the Ombudsman’s Office visited the voting centers and reported in the Piura region of the 18 locations visited, a total of 14 institutions present political propaganda despite the prohibition of article 193 of the Organic Law of Elections.
In this sense, through social networks, citizens denounced that the Regional Unity candidate, Reynaldo Hilbck, did not withdraw the political propaganda that was installed outside the National University of Piura (UNP) hours before the electoral contest.
According to the information, there are more than 3 panels that are in the upper house of studies that tomorrow will host hundreds of citizens to cast their votes.
The Republic communicated with the specialist in electoral processes, José Tello, who pointed out that there is an inaction of the Special Electoral Juries whose purpose is to supervise the alleged irregularities of the electoral elections. Regarding this, he indicated that the representatives are exposed to being denounced for administrative faults.
“It is always, the authorities have to comply with withdrawing the political propaganda of the candidates. If this type of irregularity is reported, there is an inaction that must be corrected. These irregularities are an alleged crime in the administrative fault,” Tello explained to this medium.
