The Center for Education and Development (CEDUCA) yesterday applied for more opportunities to access scholarships studies and jobs for young people of the communities that make up the organization.
Alba Reyesdirector of CEDUCAcomplained that vulnerable sectors are neglected and that opportunities are only offered to middle and upper class adolescents, forgetting that there are other young people who also have a desire to excel and personal growth.
“The youth of the neighborhood, of the batey do not have access to scholarships and job opportunities and we ask that they be taken into account since the humble youth also has a desire to excel”, Reyes said when speaking at the Intermunicipal Forum on Public Policies.

He explained that the organization brings together young people from the municipalities of Great Saint Dominic, Yamasá, Villa Altagracia, Peralta, Azua, the Guayiga de Pedro Brand, the Haina lane, La Victoria and the National District.
Reyes added that CEDUCA provides support to young people with limited resources, through workshops, courses, youth meetings and development programs.
In this sense, he expressed his desire to get a close up with the culture Ministry or with another government agency to promote more aid to young people who belong to the institution.
in that tenor Alicia Medina, spokesperson of unemployed youth and coordinator of the program youth of CEDUCA, pointed out that the General Law of Youth 49-00, in its article 9, it must encourage the commitment of all social sectors for benefit of adolescents without them feel unprotected.
