Berta Valle and Victoria Cárdenas, wives of Félix Maradiaga and Juan Sebastián Chamorro, respectively, once again demanded that all prisons in Nicaragua be opened to verify the state of health of the more than 190 political prisoners of the dictatorship of Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo.
In a virtual event, the two women exposed the situation of solitary confinement, confinement, lack of medical care, the deterioration of the inmates’ health, the blocking of telephone communications between political prisoners and their young children, and poor nutrition.
Victoria Cárdenas urged an end to the “unbearable” solitary confinement and solitary confinement for all prisoners of conscience that the dictatorship keeps in prison. She also demanded that all the prisons in the country be opened so that international humanitarian organizations can enter and the real state of the detainees is known.

The political prisoner has been in jail for more than a year and the digital spoken portrait presented by his wife, Berta Valle, revealed the deterioration of Félix Maradiaga’s physical health. The photos disclosed by the propagandists verify the fidelity of the digital portrait of the opponent.
Maradiaga has lost more than 60 pounds in weight. He is subjected to solitary confinement, poor nutrition, few minutes of sun and under torture at all hours of the day, Valle denounced at a press conference.
In addition, the color of his skin has changed, to the point of looking yellowish; and has lost hair. In the portrait he is seen emaciated.
Maradiaga has demanded an end to the isolation, solitary confinement and inhumane conditions in which he is locked up.
