Brazil won a total of four medals in Zagreb, the last competition before the Judo World Cup in Uzbekistan, in October. On Saturday (16), there was bronze double by Ketleyn Quadros (63 kg) and Daniel Cargnin (73 kg).
To reach the decisive fight for the gold, Rafael Macedo won in his debut the Turkish Aydin, the Hungarian Nerpel and the Italian Madhzidov – both with ippon – and the German Eduard Trippel, Olympic medalist. The only defeat was in the final against the Gorgonian Gviniashvili.
In the women’s dispute, the Olympic medalist Mayra Aguiar showed that she is going all out for the Uzbekistan World Cup. A week after taking the podium at the Grand Prix in Budapest (Hungary), the gaucho won another bronze in Zagreb.
