This Friday the 100 Millas del Este tournament will take place in Punta del Estea competition of high-end historic sports cars. The event, which is being held for the first time in Uruguay’s flagship resort, is one of the most prominent in its field in Latin America.
Although the event will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the farm Las Cárcavas de José Ignacio, the start will be at 3:30 p.m. from that place. During the day, the participants will cross different emblematic points of Punta del Este.
The circuit will end at the exclusive residences Amelie Ocean Residences, located at Parada 20 of Playa Brava, a few meters from the sea, where the Argentine billionaire Amalia Fortabat.
In the event about 40 luxury cars will participate of different brands and models, which have been on the market since the 50s.
As they said from the organization to Coffee & Businessthe cars that will participate will be, 1950’san HRG 1100 (1950) and a Corvette (1957).
From the 60s: Jaguar XK150 OTS (1960), Alfa Romeo Spider (1963), Ford Mustang Convertible (1964), Ford Mustang Fastback (1967), Mercedes-Benz Convertible (1967), Corvette Stingray (1968), Porsche 911 (1968), MG B (1969), Mercedes-Benz 280 SE (1969) and Mercedes-Benz 280 SL (1969).
70’s there will be an MB G Roadster (1973) and a Triumph TR6 (1975).
Cars from the 80s that will be on the course: Lancia (1980), Fiat Spider (1981), Mercedes-Benz 280 SL (1983), Mercedes-Benz 300 SL (1984), Alfa Romeo Spider (1985), Porsche 911 Targa (1987).
From the 90s: Porsche 911 (1995) and BMW Z3 (1997).
The most recent they are a Porsche 911 Turbo (2008), Mini Cooper Convertible (2012), Porsche 911 Turbo (2012), Mercedes-Benz SLS (2013), DB11 (2017) and Porsche911 Targa (2022).
The following car models will also be present: Ford Mustang, Porsche 911, Porsche 911 964 Turbo, Mercedes-Benz 350 SL, Ford Mustang GT Convertible Porsche 911 Spider, Asa Monofaro, Ferrari 355 Spyder, Porsche 964 Cabrio, Mustang 66, Toyota Yaris Gr, Porsche 917, Ferrari 355 Spyder and BMW Z8.
The circuit passes through Route 10, through Manantiales and La Barra to La Brava. The day also includes lunch, a cocktail exclusive for those who have registered and a visit to the Walden Naturae art gallery.
