There was more destruction in the violent day last Saturday where they burned down the police station. That day, the judicial headquarters of the Puno district of Juli was also incinerated, almost in its entirety, by violent demonstrators, and is currently inaccessible because the residents have blocked the access routes and do not allow transit there.
“The judicial headquarters of Juli, province of Chucuito, judicial district of Puno, was left in rubble and 95% of the judicial files would have been destroyed due to the fire, one day after the vandal attack,” reported the Judiciary.

Last Saturday, a mob of protesters set fire to files and office supplies, such as computers, furniture and chairs, which were inside the Juli courthouse. It is a two-story building, where there is a mixed court and a justice of the peace, where lawsuits for alimony are processed by mothers who claim a pension for their minor children.
The president of the Superior Court of Puno, Pánfilo Monzón Mamania, ordered the remote work of judges and judicial and administrative staff.
The president of the Judiciary, Javier Arévalo Vela, condemned this vandal attack on the judiciary in Juli.
