Pucallpa: four police officers are intervened for kidnapping and extortion against businessmen (VIDEO)

Four police officers were arrested after being accused of allegedly participating in kidnappings and extortion against businessmen. According to the complaint, the non-commissioned officers would have requested 50 thousand soles from one of their victims, in the city of Pucallpa.

“Four members of the PNP who unfortunately were carrying out illicit activities. These people are accused of intervening with four businessmen and then asking them for an alleged extortion quota”, said the Head of the Ucayali Macroregion, PNP General Enrique Goycochea.

According to the complaint, these policemen would not have acted alone and would have their accomplices, also members of the institution. The latter confessed the whereabouts of one of the victims, according to América Noticias.

“With this information, the agents organized an operation and managed to capture three other non-commissioned officers. For the authorities, they would be members of the criminal organization ‘Los Elegants de Manantay’. The agents will be prosecuted for the crimes of kidnapping and extortion”, detailed the aforementioned medium.

It was reported that the four NCOs involved were made available to the Divincri Ucayali, while the search for the other accomplices begins.
