The head of the Cabinet of Ministers, Juan Manzur, signed a technical cooperation agreement this Wednesday with the head of the General Sindicatura de la Nación, Carlos Montero, which will allow the exchange of information on the companies that are members of the national public sector, in order to improve the transparency and quality of management and promote the optimization of processes and procedures in these entities.
Manzur described as “fundamental” the “agreements like the one we signed today, to improve the efficiency of management” and assured that “optimizing the performance of State agencies is key to continue working for the benefit of Argentines in each corner of the country,” reported the Chief of Staff in a statement.
Montero highlighted, in turn, that the agreement “enhances decision-making” since “joint work between State agencies is essential to guarantee efficient management in the 99 State companies, where SIGEN has a presence from the trustees that he appoints”, and said that the exchange of information “strengthens the transparency of the State”.

The agreement stipulates that the SIGEN provide access to the “Company Portal System”, through which the agents that make up the Coordination of Monitoring and Assistance of Decentralized Entities, Companies and State Societies of the Chief of Staff can evaluate and follow the plans of action of the companies and companies of the State, autarkic entities, decentralized and/or deconcentrated organisms.
Of the 99 companies mentioned by the head of the SIGEN, in 55 of them the State is constituted as its majority shareholder, while in the remaining 44 it owns a minority amount of the share package, the information indicates.
Also participating in the work meeting in which the agreement was signed were the Secretary for Administrative Coordination of the Chief of Staff, Rita Tanuz; the head of the Advisory Cabinet Unit, Martín Yáñez; the director of Opinions on Public Employment and Regulatory Affairs, Daiana Zabalo; and the coordinator of Monitoring and Assistance of Decentralized Entities, Companies and State Societies, Nicolás Haucke.
Montero was accompanied by Máximo Borzi de Lucía, deputy trustee general of the Nation; Gabriela Custer, general secretary; and Oscar Figueroa, operating secretary.
