Public health workers review union gains

“Salary increases, recognition of workers in the sector and an extra item for a specialization course” are some of the achievements reported by the Ffsp in a statement released in the last few hours.

With growth above inflation, organized public health workers assure that “we are going to be one of the few sectors that are going to be recovering the wage loss, and in turn growing in the lowest wages and in the average wages”, stated Martín Pereira, from the Ffsp.

The Federation headed by its president Martín Pereira, starred in three complex years with the arrival of the pandemic and the health crisis that broke out in 2020.

In this framework, the Ffsp highlights that “great achievements could be achieved for the sector, thanks to the mobilizations and tours that they made throughout the interior denouncing the situation that ASSE was experiencing and the effort that ASSE workers had made throughout the pandemic ”.

Among the goals achieved by union activity, the workers highlight “having achieved an increase of 22% nominal for the most submerged wages (30,000 nominal pesos). “A salary of a health official of about 47,000 pesos will earn almost 56,000 pesos,” Pereira announced.

He also highlighted the mobilizations that they carried out together with COFE, as well as the “permanent” dialogue that took place with Parliament and the Executive Power.

Another of the achievements that stand out in the Ffsp statement with which this 2022 culminates is having achieved the items for the training courses that will be provided to workers and that will be for 3 years. “We believe that we have made progress in what has to do with salary construction, although there are still things to achieve. If we add up everything we have achieved, there are close to a billion pesos in what category 0 has to do with, which is the salary construction of public health workers,” concluded Pereira.
