Vaccination still slow
This Thursday, the VacúnateRD portal reported that 7,018,134 citizens have received the first dose of the anticovid vaccine; 5,830,645 for the second dose and 2,117,702 for the booster dose.
“I was waiting a reasonable time between the second dose and this one, that’s why I’m vaccinated today,” said citizen Américo Méndez, while being inoculated at the Olympic Center. “She has given me my little flu, but since I’m from the countryside, I fight it with a little tea,” he added.
“If people don’t come, there is no way to ask for the card with the third (dose). They changed the date because they saw that the high percentage only has two and they are going to continue changing it because people have not come massively. As long as the fourth is still optional, I won’t even use it with a machete,” Méndez said jokingly.
According to his supervisor, some 60 people had been inoculated in this position in the morning shift.
