Public debt has taken RD$76,695 million

Nueva adenda al presupuesto plantea incremento a 9 instituciones

From January 1 to March 7 of this year the Government paid RD$76,695 million in interest and commissions on the public debt, of which RD$48.858 million corresponded to interest.

RD$225.621 million has been budgeted for this year only in the payment of interest on the public debt.

He government fiscal deficit amounted to RD$63,549 million, as a result of income of RD$170,437 million and expenses of RD$233,987 million.

The primary result, which is the one that discounts the interest on the public debt, reached RD$14,691 million.

The financial sources totaled RD$152,683 million and financial applications RD$12,407 million.

The government institutions with the highest spending were Administration of Public Debt and Financial Assets, with RD$76,605 million; the Ministry of Education, with RD$32.975 million; Ministry of Public Health, with RD$28,610 million; Administration of Obligations of the National Treasury, with RD$22,028 million, and the Presidency of the Republic, with RD$20,114 million.

The Government executed RD$32,799 million in education, RD$24,736 in health, RD$23,353 million in social protection, RD$16,073 in energy and fuel, RD$15,815 in general administration, RD$10,571 in transportation, RD$8,892 million in justice, public order and security and RD$7,129 million in housing and community services.
