Provisional detention decreed for 4 former Banconal officials for theft

Four former officials of the National Bank, involved in the theft of the Vault of one of the branches of the bank, were provisionally detained, after the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor, represented by the superior prosecutor Ruth Morcillo, managed to get the Court of Appeals to confirm the arrest .

A fifth person, who was allegedly transporting the vehicle where the people involved in the incident escaped, had his provisional arrest revoked and was given notice on Monday and Friday, a ban on leaving the country and not interacting with the accused.

In the robbery to which these people are linked, they stole B/.678,000.00 from the Banco Nacional branch on Calle 25, Calidonia.

This event occurred on Saturday, August 13, 2022, in which the theft of money from the bank vault took place.

Through proceedings carried out by the Public Ministry, cash, cell phones and technological equipment were seized.
