Protests in Bogotá against Petro reforms: how they advance, blocked roads and diversions

This Monday, September 26, different right-wing sectors called for demonstrations to protest against the reforms that the government plans to carry out Petro.

In the case of Bogotá, there are several concentration points that were determined to start the demonstrations towards the Bolivar plazawhich will be the final meeting point.

Meanwhile, with a cutoff at 11:00 a.m. this Monday, from the Ministry of Mobility they indicate that the mobilizations are maintained at the following points, in which you can take into account the detours to avoid traffic jams:

  • Fallen Heroes Monument (26th Street): A sit-in is presented on 26th Street (Av. Golden) with race 59 Or-Occ. There is no road affectation and there is an approximate capacity of 30 people at the point.
  • Road impact on Calle 26 with Carrera 48, direction West – East
  • National Park: There is a sit-in at Carrera 7 with Calle 32. The following detours are suggested: Take Calle 45 to the West to continue South along Av. Caracas or NQS.

TransMilenium

On the occasion of the mobilizations along the Carrera Séptima direction south – north, the dual fleet is diverted: direction north south, the fleet takes Calle 40 to the west and goes up Calle 24 connecting to the National Museum. Direction south north make a detour to the bike path. Likewise, diversions are made for the zonal fleet of routes 18-3, 593, A124, C124, H907, T12, T13, T25.

It is worth noting that, according to businessman Pierre Onzaga, who is leading these demonstrations, the protests are being carried out so that projects such as the reform of the electoral code, the labor reform, the tax reform, among others, must be reviewed again. .

Around noon this Monday, TransMilenio announced that the service was temporarily suspended at the Centro Memoria and Concejo de Bogotá stations, Ciudad Universitaria was enabled. Meanwhile, the fleet counterflows to the east on the eastern side and exits to the mixed flow to the west on the eastern side of Centro Memoria.

Additionally, the service in the Gold Museum is temporarily suspended. The water station is served with the connection to Universities.
