Protectionist organizations and vegan activists will gather next Friday at the Obelisk and then march to the National Congress.

Protectionist organizations and vegan activists will gather next Friday at the Obelisk and then march to the National Congress where they will explain the projects in defense of animals presented in the Chamber of Deputies, within the framework of the Animal Day that is commemorated and that was redefined since 2019 as the Day of the Struggle for Animal Liberation.

The concentration at the Obelisk will start at 6:00 p.m., while at 6:30 p.m. there will be a march along Cerrito Avenue towards Mayo Avenue and from there to the Congress, where an act with speakers will take place at 7:00 p.m. to the projects.

Mary Antunez, ex-coordinator of the Department of Animal Health and Protection of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires (CABA) will refer to Minimum Protection Budgets for Urban Fauna; Eliana Couso, head of the Civil Association Fight for Social Integrity and Animal Law (Aluisa), to the project that prohibits the Traction to blood throughout the national territory, and Laura Kreckzavice president of Animal Libre, to the My Vegan menu project, the three in force in the Chamber of Deputies of the Nation.

The Day of Struggle for Animal Liberation was institutionalized by virtue of the new status achieved by animals as non-human legal entities subject to rights.
