Protagonist of questioned video of the Rejection strip did sue his aggressor

The protagonist of the questionable video of the Rejection strip, Víctor Alejandro Merino, broke the silence and told his version of what happened through a video, assuring that the facts related to the shot he received from his aggressor did occur, thus denying versions that maintained that these were false and that they had not taken place. However, the message of the questioned spot, in which he maintains that he had decided “not to sue him for love” is not true, since he did file a lawsuit against him.

The facts

In the video published on social networks, Merino explains that he did it “with the intention of ending the violence, with a look of love, of forgiveness.”

The protagonist of the story addressed the questioning of the video, pointing out that “if I chose to forgive, it is my right and no one has the right to question it” and assured that “my story is totally real, everything is 100% real.”

“I don’t want to teach anyone, but I don’t want them to judge me, because that’s not what I was looking for,” he added.

“The only thing I have received is bad words and bad messages and they judge me,” he closed.

The official Twitter account of the Citizens’ Strip x el Rejection shared said record and added that “Once again the #Approbation stains a truth as a lie. Alejandro is being attacked for voting #Rejection and telling his story. He was never an actor and he event that relates really happened”.

“The attached records confirm that the attack took place and that the person affected suffered the injuries indicated. We cannot allow someone to be re-victimized just for expressing their choice. #FranjaDelRechazo,” they add.

false testimony

Indeed, the incident reported in the spot did exist, Merino was the victim of a gunshot, facts for which a criminal investigation was initiated, the point is that the protagonist of the campaign maintains that “he did not sue him for love”, part substance of the Reject message. This, however, would be false, because last April 30, Merino, before the Talca Guarantee Court, adhered to the prosecutor’s accusation by the Public Ministry against the aggressor, who was asked for 7 years in prison at its minimum degree as author of the crime of frustrated homicide; and 4 years in prison for the crime of illegal possession of a firearm.

But that’s not this, Merino’s lawyer, María Gloria Navarrete, filed on her behalf a civil claim for compensation for damages against the aggressor as as shown in the following document.
