The prosecutors of the Special Team of the car wash case They expressed their concern about the possible reforms that could be applied to the special process of effective collaboration, since these changes would hinder various investigations and affect the institutionality of the Public Ministry.
The pronouncement is addressed to those who claim, especially from the Congress of the Republic, modify this legal resource to prevent the correct process of the respective proceedings in cases of grand corruption and money laundering in criminal organizations.
In addition, the document makes a call to the representatives of the Public ministry so that they have restraint when expressing their opinion on the subject and that they do not seek to discredit the effective collaboration process, which serves as a tool in the fight against organized crime.

On the other hand, the prosecutors of the Lava Jato Case Special Team reject any involvement of any of their prosecutors in “effective collaboration process that the money laundering subsystem is followed, and any action that compromises the institutionality of the Public Ministry, and we are aware that as prosecutors we are subject to scrutiny of our actions”; and guarantee the good work of his team led by prosecutor Rafael Vela.
