The Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab reported that two extortion and kidnapping prosecutors were assigned, as well as a national prosecutor, to investigate the arrests that took place in recent days, framed in the gang led by the criminal Óscar Enrique Guzmán Chirinos, alias “El Conas”.
According to a press release, the security authorities arrested 10 people in different procedures, in an operation to dismantle said criminal gang.
In one of the procedures, carried out in the state of Carabobo, two people were arrested, who respond to the name of Bianca Carolina Guzmán Chirinos (27 years old) and Betsabeth Carolina Guzmán Chirinos (19 years old). Both people cooperated with the criminal group.
Later, in another operation in this entity, 21-year-old Kisbelis Guzmán was arrested, who asked her cousin, via WhatsApp, to carry out terrorist attacks, especially targeting security agencies and members of the Venezuelan State.
After these two operations – details the Public Ministry -, a third procedure was carried out in Cabimas, Zuilia state; where five people were arrested, all involved with the ringleader of the gang.
In this case, citizens Lucía Lourdes Acosta de Guzmán (31 years old), Rubén Antonio Guzmán Aldana (45 years old), César Enrique Guzmán (51 years old), Orlando José Guzmán (41 years old) and Edwin Enrique Navarro (29 years old) were arrested. ).
According to a press release, four more people were also arrested in another operation, without specifying the location.
The four people are members of the criminal gang and respond to the names of Mariela Josefina Guzmán (37 years old), her cousin Ana María Guzmán (25 years old), Jorge Segundo Guzmán (42 years old) and Orlando Junior Guzmán (19 years old).
