The Aragua Train “is a cartel of Venezuelan origin, a typical organized crime organization that is an organization that seeks profit by committing a repeated number of crimes such as drug trafficking, human trafficking, extortion.”

“The best policy that exists in the face of the verification of facts like this is to recognize their existence. When recognizing their existence, take the appropriate measures,” he said.

“The ideal to investigate this type of crime is to provide the police and the Prosecutor’s Office with the appropriate legal tools to combat this. Legal tools that allow them to go after the money. Adequate legislation is needed to pursue the money and take away from these organizations their financing,” he added.

Along the same lines, Arias maintained that the main engine of organizations is money, and that in order to control and reduce them, it is necessary to “attack this phenomenon.”

“When you see hired assassins, kidnappings, what they are looking for is money; it is not a group of especially cruel or perverse subjects who seek to commit this type of crime because they like it, but rather it is a consequence of taking over territory, that the organization is enlarged. , that the competition be eliminated, to earn money,” he said.

“You have to attack these phenomena in order to control these organizations,” he added.

“There is a lack of adequate legislation. There are projects that are in Congress, such as the domain extension law, which has been in Congress for 3 or 4 years, which would be a very useful law to be able to seize, seize and allocate seized assets to criminal organizations for investigation. or to the compensation of the victims”, he concluded.
