The latest COE bulletin maintains 18 deaths on Christmas weekend

Cholera threatens La Ciénaga with sewage

As authorities redouble efforts to control the spread of cholera In the La Zurza neighborhood, in the National District, wastewater flows from the treatment plant in La Ciénaga where it reaches a Primary Care Unit and a detachment of the National Police in this place.

Possible approval of the Trust Law triggers alarms in the opposition

PLD and the FP prevent the approval of debt bonds

The Plenary session of the Chamber of Deputies had to leave on the table the bill that authorizes the Executive Branch to place public debt securities for up to a maximum amount of RD$363,257,860,888 to complement the General State Budget for next year, due to the opposition of the parties of the Dominican Liberation (PLD), Fuerza del Pueblo (FP) and other political groups.

But the Chamber of Deputies managed to approve in first reading the project on Appeals and the project of Maritime Trade Law from the Dominican Republic.

As for the initiative to manage the resources to cover the 2023 budget deficit, it should be known at the next session of deputies, scheduled for January 10, 2023.
