The president of the National Administration of Public Education (ANEP), Robert Silva, also participated in the meeting, which took place on Tuesday afternoon in Torre Ejecutiva.

There the authorities analyzed the current epidemiological situation that, weeks ago, led the educational authorities to bring forward the winter holiday in initial and primary education due to the increase in cases of respiratory infections.

After verifying a decrease in cases based on epidemiological data and a survey of the current health situation, the authorities decided to resume courses at both levels as normal as of Monday, July 17, Da Silveira reported at a press conference.

He explained that it was an evaluation meeting on the decision applied in relation to the July holidays, in which the health evolution was addressed, and if the conditions were right to start that day.
