The analysis that once Luis is re-elected would be harmed is incorrect because it is not a personal dilemma but a significant national situation in which the electorate will decide if we deepen and expand the changes initiated by the president, or go back to the past of corruption, Impunity and institutional disaster PLD-FUPU. The re-election transcends the benefit or detriment of Luis, because while the governments of the recent past were largely made up of officials today sitting or who must go to the accused’s bench, in this administration, servants hardly mentioned by rumor have been left out of the Government public.
The re-election of Luis transcends because while the Abinader Corona have by protocol that family businesses do not do business with the State, from the PLD governments there are relatives and relatives of power accused of illicit acts to defraud public assets.
Abinader made known the imprint of what his mandate would be when, before being president, he refused to participate in the partisan distribution of instances of social arbitration and state regulation, to favor political-business interests. Unlike this course of institutional kidnapping, which filled the Central Board and the Superior Electoral Tribunal, the Attorney General’s Office, the Supreme Court of Justice and the Chamber of Accounts with senior PLD executives, Abinader rejected that the PRM was part of of that feast and did everything possible so that these entities were made up of citizens identified with the norm and social interest, as is largely the case today.
A clear prophylaxis has been taking place in the current government administration, governed by the Ministry of Public Administration, General Directorates of Government Ethics, Public Procurement and Contracting, Budget, General Comptroller, Government Accounting, Attorney General of the Republic and Chamber of Accounts, and the direct zeal of the President so that things are done as required by law. These superstructural changes will make it possible to give greater scope to the infrastructural transformations demanded by the enormous levels of inequality and social exclusion left by the two lost decades of PLD governments.
In the midst of the most serious difficulties of all kinds to which the Covid pandemic and the war in Europe have subjected the country, Luis Abinader has shown an extraordinary capacity for work and foolproof honesty, which have generated confidence and faith in the future, avoiding the drift and tensions that affect other nations today.
Having already proven this determination to overcome the delay, leave behind the setback and guide the course of the country towards new paths of hope and well-being, Luis’s re-election in 2024 transcends even his free will.
