Signature of Agreement for the lighting of sports fields

Signature of Agreement for the lighting of sports fields

Emaldi attended accompanied by the vice president of UTE, Julio Luis Sanguinetti and part of the board of the autonomous entity.

The agreement will allow the lighting of 38 fields per year, 19 for children’s soccer and 19 for adults in 2023 and as many in 2024. Thus, there will be 76 fields: two for adults and two for children in each department. They will have state-of-the-art LED lighting.

Together with UTE, the National Energy Directorate, the municipalities, which will define which properties will be illuminated, participate in the initiative. UTE will contribute $6.3 million in materials and technical supervision annually, out of a total of $11.8 million.

On the other hand, it was reported that the municipalities will be able to use the UTE electrical network for public lighting in towns with up to 250 inhabitants. This also includes Mevir neighborhoods and those reached by the UTE Social Inclusion Plan.

They also reported on “UTE illuminates culture”, which consists of 110 artistic activities in the 19 departments on the occasion of the celebration of the 110 years of UTE. They will take place in the departmental capitals and other towns in the interior of the country.
