President Jair Bolsonaro said today (11) in his live weekly, that the federal government decided to extend for another two years the exemption from the payroll of companies in different sectors. “That’s almost R$8 billion a year,” said the president during the live.President says government will extend payroll tax

The payroll exemption was instituted via a provisional measure last year as an emergency measure due to the crisis created by the covid-19 pandemic. The measure reduces the employer’s social security contribution and benefits 17 sectors that employ around 6 million people.

The MP would initially be valid until December 2020, but Congress extended the measure until December 2021, when it converted the MP into law.

During the live, the president of Caixa, Pedro Guimarães, announced the financing of solar panels by the state bank. The official estimate is that the boards reduce users’ energy costs by 95% per month. “We have 6 million families that have a house or apartment financed by Caixa and 1.5 million families can have this financing for solar panels, we will have a six-month grace period, five years to pay. This is a revolution, especially, because we imagine that, with these six months of grace, a very large part of you can save and you buy the plates, not for free, but there is a great benefit. is the lowest rate [de juros] that Caixa has, 1.17%”, said Guimarães.
