“Before the 31st of this month, the Venezuelan people, the Caracas public and tourists will be able to enjoy a cable car with a 20-year useful life,” said the president of Venezolana de Teleféricos (Ventel), Victor Cruz.
During an interview granted to the Punto de Encuentro program broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión, the president of the aforementioned instance explained that he will have the mission of putting the cable car into operation.
“We have three work fronts, in the morning, afternoon and night time, a total of 83 people and more than 114 hours working,” he explained.
Cruz recalled that in the year 2000 it was the last installation of the guaya, 23 years later they have started the work without the participation of foreign personnel “from China the guaya left traveling more than 16 thousand 500 kilometers by sea, it arrives at the port of Good Ventura in Colombia”.
In this sense, he stressed that thanks to diplomatic relations between the governments of Colombia and Venezuela, the guaya was able to reach Venezuelan soil, “if the former president, Iván Duque, had been in Colombia, he would not have arrived in the country.”
