De la Haza said that due process must be followed for the prosecutors accused of being part of this alleged corruption network. “We have to wait, there is a process that we cannot alter,” he said in Congress.
He also indicated that “these judges should be heard” to hear their version because Peru is a “constitutional state of law.”
“If there is a judge or a prosecutor involved in this corruption issue, you can be completely assured that when the respective study arrives indicating that dismissal is warranted, the JNJ will make a statement,” he said.
The head of the autonomous body stressed the transparency of the votes of the plenary session of the JNJ and assured that “there is no mystery.” He also indicated that his institution will act firmly in cases of corruption.
“All members of the JNJ make their vote public, they know how we resolve. There is no mystery,” he said.
