President of Peru, Pedro Castillo orders the dissolution of Congress and establishes a State of Exception

The president of Peru, Pedro Castillo, ordered this Wednesday the dissolution of the Peruvian Congress, the establishment of the State of Exception and an emergency government in the country.

The decision is made minutes before the vacancy motion in Congress that sought to achieve the dismissal of Castillo.

Several ministers have resigned, including the Economy and Finance Minister and the Foreign Minister.
