President of Cuba visits Regla municipality in Havana

The President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, today visited communities in the Regla municipality, in this capital, as part of the government strategy that seeks to revitalize vulnerable localities throughout the country.

Upon arrival, the president interacted with the residents who expressed their joy at the 20 works that have been worked on for the renewal of the territory.

All the changes in the neighborhoods must point to the spirituality of our people, Díaz-Canel said, reported the official Twitter account of the Presidency.

During the tour, the head of state was interested in young people and their link to study and work, in addition, he stressed the government’s commitment to the well-being of the people, affected by the hostile policies of the United States towards Cuba.

The municipality of Regla suffered severe damage in January 2019 from a tornado that impacted several territories of Havana and whose wounds were restored by the joint work of government institutions and the population itself.
