The President of the Republic, José Raúl Mulino, visited the Dr. Arnulfo Arias Madrid Hospital Complex of the Social Security Fund (CSS).
There he found dozens and dozens of sick people waiting for care for hours, shortages of supplies, and a lack of medical personnel. Despite this situation, the president asked the patients to remain calm: “this nightmare will end soon.”
This visit takes place in the midst of the meetings of the tables where the various unions are presenting their proposals to save the CSS. These meetings are being held at the Presidency of the Republic on Monday and Wednesday.
This round of meetings is expected to last until the end of October, before a unified proposal is presented to the National Assembly of Deputies.
