President Maduro meets with leaders of the Pencil Alliance

In the context of the political dialogue between the National Government and sectors of the opposition, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, holds a meeting with leaders of the Alianza del Lápiz, a political organization led by the former candidate for Mayor of the Libertador Municipality, Antonio Ecarri Angola.

The meeting that takes place in the Simón Bolívar Room of the Miraflores Palace, located in Caracas, is part of the resumption of the dialogue mechanisms -announced on November 30- with the oppositions in order to define points of agreement that pay tribute to the democratic coexistence.

On behalf of the Pencil Alliance, the national secretary general, Eric Ondarroa; and the national secretary of Electoral Control, Mayerling Occhino; as well as the mayors of the Libertador municipality in Aragua state, Gonzalo Díaz Plaza, and of the San Sebastián de los Reyes municipality in Aragua state, Andrés Aular Arnaudez.

On Friday, December 2, the Head of State led a meeting with representatives of the opposition grouped in the Democratic Alliance, which resulted in the agreement to set up working groups to define an agenda of prioritized issues within a period of 30 days.

In this sense, the dialogue will address the economic, social, political and electoral area, whose conclusions will be established in a joint document that will be presented at the end of 30 days.
