President Maduro highlights the key role of the civil-military union

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted this Sunday the essential role played by the civil-military union in the harmonious development of the country, focused on the defense of sovereignty and the maintenance of national peace.

In this sense, the national president expressed in his account of the social network twitter, that the combination of the people and the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, has known how to wage a “tremendous fight” for respect for national dignity.

“As a people we have waged a tremendous fight to defend our sovereignty and respect for national dignity. The perfect civic-military union has been and is a key aspect to continue moving through the times and years to come, in peace and out of love for our country,” the head of state wrote.

The civil-military union is one of the pillars of the political legacy of Commander Hugo Chávez since he came to power in 1999. His contribution to the maintenance of peace and the construction of Bolivarian socialism has been noted on multiple occasions, including abortion. of the 2002 coup d’état, the restoration of the las after the “guarimbas” and the defense of the homeland against attempts to violate sovereignty.
