President Lukashenko signed an agreement with Russia to deploy nuclear weapons in Belarus

The governments of Russia and Belarus reached an agreement for the Russian government to deploy tactical nuclear weapons to Belarusian territory.

Since the beginning of the year, President Putin had announced that the Kremlin would be moving short-range weapons to Belarus.

It is not yet clear how many nuclear weapons Moscow will be mobilizing towards Minsk, which NATO sees as a danger to neighboring countries and to Ukraine, which has been in conflict with Russia for more than a year.
The Russian army possesses one of the largest nuclear arsenals in the world and for military analysts it is a form of warning from Moscow to the NATO countries.
