The president of the Republic, Gabriel Boricconfirmed the statements of the Segpres minister, George Jacksonabout the project declared inexpropriable by the pension funds.
The President’s words were given after his participation in the inauguration of the academic year of the University of Chile.

Boric assured that the Government will not touch people’s pension savings. “That will be answered by Minister Jackson, but we have a conviction that we have always held, no one is going to touch the pension savings of Chileans,” he said.
“I have been very explicit, it is neither within our program nor our intentions to touch the pension savings of Chileans,” he added.
Finally, he commented that “I invite you to decisively confront the campaigns of lies that are unleashed in this. Our government is not going to do it and it will not allow it.”
