President-elect Gabriel Boric will live in a heritage house in Barrio Yungay

The President-elect, Gabriel Boric, now has a new home. After being seen in the Yungay neighborhood together with the future first lady, Irina Karamanos, the doubts were cleared up and an issue that maintained the expectations of the citizens was settled.

As established Third, the future president has been seen at least four times in the sector. This, because it is expected that in the next few weeks he will arrive at his new address, a heritage house located in the heart of the well-known cultural neighborhood. Thus, the President-elect must leave the apartment where he lives in the Barrio Bellas Artes with his partner and future future lady of his, Irina Karamanos.

The issue maintained the expectations of the population, because less than a month after taking office, Gabriel Boric still did not have a residence. From the first moment, the President-elect assured that he did not want to live in the upper neighborhood, so the San Miguel commune was kept within the options, which was finally rejected for not meeting the high security requirements.

Due to the requests of the President-elect, where he stated that he wanted to live near the Palacio de La Moneda and not be in the upper area of the capital, the search became quite a challenge. This, added also to the demanding security requirements, where there cannot be nearby buildings, must have at least two entrances and have ample spaces for the presidential escort with which the future president constantly moves. Requirements met by the heritage house of Barrio Yungay, in the commune of Santiago Centro.

Thus, the President-elect will live a 30-minute walk from La Moneda and will be able to settle in the house located on Huérfanos and Hurtado Rodríguez streets, in the heart of the cultural district.
