The Specialized Court for Minors of the Estelí Judicial Complex issued preventive prison for the 17-year-old teenager with initials JPOA, identified as the alleged perpetrator of the femicide against Britney Olivas, who was pregnant. the media Estelí Free Stereo Radio reported that the victim’s body, according to the forensic medical opinion, had 30 wounds caused by a knife, in addition to perforation in the chest cavity. The body was found in the middle of some trees, in a vacant lot that is used as a clandestine dump, in the sector known as La Llorona, in Estelí.

The victim collaborated as an announcer on Radio Estéreo Libre and the “Tuktan Sirpi” Children’s Association. Meanwhile, the defendant’s defense attorney, Edgar Aráuz, requested house arrest and a ban on leaving the country for JPOA, however Judge María Elsa Laguna revoked the request and sent the defendant to the Estelí Penitentiary System.

The Nicaraguan Code for Children and Adolescents will prevent the femicide of the pregnant teenager, Britney Olivas Herrera, from being prosecuted for committing a hate crime and sentenced to life imprisonment, he explained to Article 66 the lawyer Yonarqui Martínez.
