Part of the early morning of this Friday, October 29, a pre-Halloween party at the Espacio Panamá nightclub, on Calle 12, Santa Ana ended in tragedy, after a heated shooting took place inside the place.
According to a report by Commissioner Ricaurter De La Espada, head of the eighth West police zone, indicated that so far the number of 5 dead and 6 injured has been handled.
It is presumed that the trigger for the situation was a war between gangs.
He added that for now there are two Panamanian nationals apprehended and a firearm was seized, possibly used in this act.
The commissioner stressed that the nightclub had all the permits in order and maintained private security.
It was also known that three bodies were found in the Guna Nega area, to which De La Espada affirmed that this finding is not related to what happened in the nighttime activity center.
Units of the National Police, personnel of the Directorate of Judicial Investigation (DIJ) and the Public Ministry are at the scene of the events to carry out the pertinent investigations.
